Although there is no cover under the policy for costs as a result of volcanic ash affecting your holidays, we are honouring claims made under the travel delay and abandonment sections of Asda Travel Insurance, in accordance with the terms and conditions of those sections. If you bought an annual travel insurance policy, only the holidays you booked before 21st May 2011 will be covered under the travel delay and abandonment sections of Asda Travel Insurance.

I bought my travel insurance policy or booked my holiday on or after 21st May 2011.

The latest volcanic eruption began on Saturday 21st May 2011. As this was a known event at the time you bought your policy or booked the holiday, there is no cover for costs as a result of volcanic ash affecting your holidays. If you believe there are specific circumstances relating to your claim that we need to understand, then you should submit your claim to us for consideration. I bought an annual travel insurance policy before 21st May 2011.

Only the holidays you booked before 21st May 2011 can be considered for volcanic ash claims under the travel delay and abandonment sections of Asda Travel Insurance.
